Hegra is one of AlUla’s essential visits. The key is not simply booking a ticket — it is choosing the right time and protecting enough space in your itinerary for the full experience.
In summer, I recommend visiting in the morning. During winter, the weather makes almost any time of day suitable.
Allow a full two hours. Treat this as a fixed block in your day rather than squeezing Hegra between other reservations.
Comfortable sporty clothing and athletic shoes are the practical choice for the visit.
If photography matters to you, the light is especially attractive around one hour before sunset.
Visitors sometimes do not know exactly how long Hegra will take, then discover that the visit overlaps with another booking. Build your later reservations around the two-hour visit.
We will add Faisal’s preferred next-stop combinations here once the route is finalized. This is where the site becomes personalized rather than giving every visitor the same generic itinerary.
