Two Days in AlUla

Two days is the better choice for guests who want to enjoy AlUla without turning the trip into one long sightseeing shift — especially when the hotel or resort is part of the experience.

Choose the pace

Two days can feel completely different depending on the guest.

Faisal does not force one fixed two-day plan. Some guests want their resort to be part of the holiday; others want to maximize AlUla and use the second day for an adventure or premium experience.

RELAXED / RESORT PACE

See AlUla without giving up the hotel.

Day 1 — Morning

Hegra. Keep the heritage visit as the main morning experience rather than stacking the whole day immediately afterward.

Day 1 — Midday

Lunch and genuine hotel or resort time. This is especially valuable when the property itself is part of the AlUla experience.

Day 1 — Late day

Elephant Rock, then Harrat Viewpoint around sunset.

Day 1 — Evening

Old Town for a walk, cafés and dinner.

Day 2 — Morning

Dadan & Jabal Ikmah. Use Shalal Cafe only if the booking gap makes it useful.

Day 2 — Daylight

Maraya with access confirmed in advance, plus either the Oasis or more hotel time depending on pace.

Day 2 — Optional

Add one selected experience only if it improves the trip — not simply because there is an empty slot.

MAXIMIZE ALULA

Use the first day for the major highlights.

Day 1

Hegra → Shalal Cafe when useful → Dadan & Jabal Ikmah → Oasis → Elephant Rock → Harrat Viewpoint → Old Town.

Day 2 — Daylight

Maraya, then keep the rest of the day available for a selected experience, any missed site, or a slower return to a favorite place.

Day 2 — Adventure

Helicopter, Zipline, Desert Buggy, Sharaan / 4x4 or Adventure Hub can become the main experience of the day when available.

Day 2 — Night

Stargazing works best as a deliberate evening choice because remote desert experiences can consume a large part of the night once transport is included.

Faisal's planning rule: The hotel category does not decide the pace — the guest does. A luxury-resort guest may still want a full sightseeing day, and an apartment guest may want a slower trip. The itinerary should follow the guest's priorities, fixed bookings, flight times and budget.
Optional experiences

Choose one experience that fits the trip.

Activities should be treated as modules, not automatically added on top of an already full itinerary.

Helicopter TourPremium aerial experience. Best added when availability and budget allow.
StargazingHigh time commitment when the location is remote; transport may need separate planning.
ZiplineA shorter adventure option when operating and available.
Desert BuggyAdventure-focused. Treat it as a real activity block, not a quick stop.
Sharaan / 4x4Best for guests who want nature and off-road exploration.
Adventure HubFor guests prioritizing active experiences such as climbing-style activities.
